RTX 50 series pricing kept getting worse this month. Median prices jumped as much as 41 percent above MSRP in August alone, and there’s chatter about another 20 to 30 percent increase still to come before the end of the year.
Nvidia’s own Gamescom presence was confirmed to be software-focused only, DLSS updates and RTX game integrations, with no new GPU hardware announced or expected out of the event. The standing advice remains the same as it’s been for months: wait for early 2027, when AMD’s Zen 6 and the RTX 50 Super series are expected to arrive. That advice hasn’t changed, but it’s worth being clear-eyed that the gap between current prices and that early 2027 window is real, and it’s growing, not holding steady.
